Anwar There S No Problem We Will Move On

Amidst the clamour by Amanah and DAP for a "political reset" or a "grand coalition", PKR president Anwar Ibrahim believes that all is well with the Pakatan Harapan coalition.
Speaking to reporters in Alor Setar, Kedah, today, he said he has heard from both Amanah president Mohamad Sabu and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.
"They instructed me to raise it during (the Harapan presidential council) meeting. We will move on... There are no problems," he said.
Anwar was speaking to reporters after meeting with the party grassroots. According to Anwar, he had reminded the grassroots about the party's Malay-Muslim core and multiracial outlook, along with its mission to root out graft and promote fairness.
Anwar did not respond to repeated questions of "do you still have the numbers" and when asked if he was confident of ousting Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin in the next election, he replied: "Hopefully, we can oust him immediately."
Anwar has been under pressure since declaring on Sept 23 that he had the numbers in Parliament to oust Muhyiddin. However, during the Dewan Rakyat sitting from October until mid-December, it was clear that Muhyiddin commanded the support of the majority of MPs.
Following this, there have been demands for a "political reset" or "grand coalition", which Mohamad and Lim said was necessary for the opposition to regroup.
The Harapan coalition - comprising PKR, DAP and Amanah - does not appear to enjoy a good relationship with Muda, Pejuang, Parti Sarawak Bersatu and Warisan, which collectively have 16 MPs.
Amanah and DAP figures have recently been nudging PKR towards forging ties with the other opposition parties, even if it means Anwar having to reconcile with his on-and-off rows with Dr Mahathir Mohamad. - Mkini
