The Prime Minister said that the government has devised concrete efforts to ensure that no citizen is left behind, whether they are the poor, youth, women, the elderly, farmers, fishermen, students, urban and rural residents.
He stated that this important priority is to ensure the well-being of the people as the core in every initiative designed and implemented to ensure no one is marginalised.
"Alhamdulillah, the government has devised concrete efforts to ensure that no citizen is left behind, whether they are the poor, youth, women, the elderly, farmers, fishermen, students, urban and rural residents.
"Every step is taken with the goal of building a more meaningful and dignified life for the people," he said in a statement on social media.
The Madani government marked its second anniversary on November 24.
Meanwhile, in a displayed video, the Prime Minister also emphasised the importance of creating a robust and sustainable ecosystem and efficient governance to manage the wealth of natural resources fairly and equitably, as enshrined in the Quran.
The six-minute and 21-second video also 'recalled' the assistance announced by the government in various aspects, including infrastructure improvement, education, and disaster relief across the country, including opposition-governed states.
This includes an allocation of RM22.5 million for the construction and upgrading of hawker stalls; RM133.5 million for Kelantan, among others, to improve the airport and RM14 million to upgrade the Wang Kelian Immigration, Customs, Quarantine, and Security Complex (ICQS) in Perlis.
For the floods that occurred last month, the government successfully channeled RM13 million in flood aid for Kedah; and RM25 million each for Kelantan and Terengganu.
For next year, the government will channel aid through the Rahmah Cash Contribution (STR) and Rahmah Basic Contribution (SARA) amounting to RM13 billion.
This marks the highest increase with an additional RM3 billion compared to the previous RM10 billion.
This increase will continue to benefit nine million recipients or equivalent to 60 percent of the country's adult population. - NST
