Muhyiddin explained the SOPs in detail, such as limiting the number of guests in the house and at the venue where the ibadah korban (sacrifice) is performed
"Limit the number of people at the place where the animal is slaughtered to no more than 20 people per cow
"Do not hold gatherings (kenduri) at the place where the ibadah korban is conducted
"After the animal has been slaughtered and its parts divided, immediately return to your respective houses
"When family members come to visit you at your house, ensure that there are no more than 20 people at any one time," he said in a special address on Thursday (July 30) night
Those who are under home quarantine, he added, must not be going "ke sana ke sini" (here and there)
"If there is someone in your house who is under home quarantine, do not let anyone come and visit your house – this is risky," he said
He also told Muslim clerics and those working in the mosques to ensure that social distancing will be practised and that prayers will not take place in a congested environment
Muhyiddin encouraged Muslims to look to the meaning of Hari Raya Haji, which commemorates the sacrifices of Prophet Ibrahim who demonstrated immense faith when he was put to the test by God
"This example (iktibar) is a guide for us in facing the Covid-19 pandemic, we are reminded about the meaning of patience and endurance when encountering life's trials," he said
He said while Malaysia has successfully controlled the spread of the virus for now, the country is still not Covid-19 free
"I want to remind everyone that we have not totally succeeded in the Covid-19 war
"Malaysia and many other countries are not declared free of this virus, and we also witnessed a slight increase in cases
"As such, we cannot be complacent or negligent. We have to continue our efforts in breaking the chain of transmission," he said. - Star
