Lam Ah Choy, 59, said he had filed 12 police reports since his son, Kim Ming, had gone missing in 2016.
Kim Ming, who was five then, was believed to have been abducted in Pudu when they were having breakfast at a restaurant at Wisma Indah in Jalan Tun Razak.
“I went to my car to pick up an item and when I came back, he was gone,” Lam told FMT outside the police headquarters at Bukit Aman.

Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) leaders accompanied him to hand over a memorandum to the police, urging them to form a task force to investigate the disappearance.
Lam, who works as a driver, also urged the police to find out from the immigration department whether Kim Ming was still in the country.
The memorandum was received by Bukit Aman’s media communications officer, Khalidatulakmal Ismail.
PRM’s representative S Manikavasagam lamented how Lam was still looking for his only child six years after the incident.
“He has filed 12 police reports but until now, they haven’t been able to trace the boy. I urge the police to form a special team to look into this matter,” he said. - FMT
