20 Agencies Commence Probe Into Gas Pipeline Blaze
A total of 20 agencies will begin investigations and safety inspections at the site of the gas pipeline fire on Jalan Putra Harmoni, Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, this morning.
Among them are the police, Fire and Rescue Department, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), the Public Works Department, local authorities, and the district office of the affected area.
Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said that, for now, Jalan Persiaran Harmoni is being closed in stages to facilitate the movement of security teams.

Assessing damage
Meanwhile, Fire and Rescue Department director-general Nor Hisham Mohammad said that his department has begun several key tasks, including assessing the damage to houses and vehicles affected by the gas pipeline explosion.
He said a team is also on standby to respond to any potential incidents, such as fires.

Hisham added that his department is also focusing on the structural integrity of houses damaged or impacted by the explosion to ensure residents' safety.
"In terms of safety, we will start inspecting the houses that were burned or affected by the blast. If any structures are deemed unsafe or hazardous, we may carry out demolition work, such as on roofs," he said.
Hisham also mentioned that the department has deployed teams from Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur, and its headquarters to expedite investigations and facilitate the return of affected residents to their homes as quickly as possible. - Mkini
