1 500 Still At Flood Relief Centres In Pasir Mas
The most number of flood victims are in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, says the national disaster management agency. (Bernama pic)KUALA LUMPUR: More people have sought shelter from the floods in Kelantan and Johor, but Selangor and Penang saw a drop in the number of victims.
A total of 2,491 people are being housed in relief centres around the country.
In Kelantan, there were 1,520 people from 494 families at relief centres in Pasir Mas.
A flood victim in Pasir Mas tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a screening test. The man, in his 30s, has been isolated in a separate room from the rest of the evacuees.

Ads by KioskedKelantan health director Dr Zaini Hussin said the man was the first flood evacuee to test positive.
In Johor, 296 people are at relief centres in Segamat, Kulai and Kluang.
However, the number of victims in Selangor dropped to 538 this afternoon. At relief centres in Kuala Selangor and Klang, and in Penang the number dropped to 93 this afternoon. A relief centre in Juru was closed today but two others in Tasek Gelugor remained open.
Danger level at 3 rivers
The irrigation and drainage department has issued a warning of possible flash floods for several areas in Terengganu, Selangor, Penang, Perak, Kedah, Johor, Kuala Lumpur and Pahang.
The water level at three rivers were at danger level. The rivers are Long Jegan in Miri, Sarawak; Rantau Panjang in Pasir Mas, Kelantan; and Sungai Melaka in Batu Hampar, Melaka.
Ads by KioskedEight other rivers were reported at the warning level, namely Long Teru and Marudi in Miri, Sarawak; Sungai Sertim in Pahang; Sungai Selangor in Kuala Selangor; Sungai Siam in Kulai, Sungai Lenik in Segamat; and Sungai Linggi in Port Dickson. - FMT
