PKR election committee chairman Dr Zaliha Mustafa says People Media Sdn Bhd is managing the Adil app.PETALING JAYA: PKR election committee chairman Dr Zaliha Mustafa has rubbished claims that a firm in which she is a director was the vendor for the party’s voting system in its divisional polls
In a post on X, Zaliha said People Media Sdn Bhd (PMSB) was not the vendor.
“PMSB is a special purpose vehicle owned by the party and manages affairs related to the media and technology.
“The company was used to list the Adil app on the Google Play Store and Apple Apps Store,” she said, referring to the application used for online voting at the party polls.
Zaliha had previously said the Adil app was also used after the 2022 party elections to manage membership.
Tonight, Zaliha said her appointment to the board, along with K Saraswathy and Azrul Azhar, as director and trustee, in 2022 was made by the party.
“I would like to again remind everyone against dragging me or the election committee into matters related to the contests between candidates and their respective campaigns.”
Last night, Zaliha questioned the timing of Rafizi Ramli’s claim that no discussion was held before the appointment of a new vendor for its voting system.
Zaliha said the allegation by the PKR deputy president was baseless, adding that he had “not said anything” about the vendor when it was discussed at the central leadership council meeting.
Rafizi’s claim about the appointment of the vendor comes a month after the party’s divisional elections, which saw several of his key allies losing. - FMT
