Will Kj And Dr Akmal S Bonding For Umno S Future Depend On Zahid S Mood

FORMER UMNO Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin or KJ, praised current UMNO Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh for inviting him to speak at a roundtable, marking his first appearance at UMNO headquarters since his expulsion.
However, neither Dr Akmal nor Khairy confirmed whether UMNO president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will officially approve Khairy’s return, with the party leader remaining silent on the matter.
While Khairy is said to have expressed interest in rejoining the party, Zahid is said to have denied inviting him formally.
On Friday (Nov 7), Khairy praised Dr Akmal for inviting him to the National Roundtable Negotiation 1.0 (Rimbun 1.0), marking his first appearance at UMNO headquarters since his expulsion.
“I want to thank UMNO Youth for being courageous, for two reasons. First, for bravely gathering and organising Rimbun 1.0. Others have not done it, but UMNO Youth did because they care about the country’s future.
“Second, the courage today is for inviting Khairy here.”
Responding to Khairy, Dr Akmal said the decision to invite Khairy to the programme was for the sake of the party. He also joked that if he is banned after this, Khairy may invite him to join the Keluar Sekejap (KS) podcast.
“Brave to invite Khairy because of UMNO’s future. God willing. I don’t know what will happen next, ‘ban’ or what. If there is a ‘ban,’ invite me to KS,” he joked. —  Focus Malaysia
