SUCH is the jackpot question posed by Siti Kasim who exposed that Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh who has gone missing since her abduction on April 9 has actually made “a few trips” to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya prior to the day of her disappearance.
And without fail, every time after having completed her questioning session the 42-year-old mother of three who is reported to be in the midst of a highly-acrimonious divorce would update her two lawyers – one in Malaysa and another in Singapore.
“This is where she divulged two incidents whereby she felt something isn’t right,” revealed the human rights activist and lawyer in her latest YouTube rant.

“There was this Chinese guy who introduced himself to Ling as a MACC deputy director who was present at the investigation room when she was in the midst of giving statement.
“Bizarrely enough, he even spoke to Ling to (quickly) settle her divorce which raised the question as to what was his intention when this personal matter has nothing to do with the money laundering case that the MACC was investigating Ling and her husband”.
If such “busybody attitude” is not bad enough, Siti Kasim was fed by her reliable source of the “most damaging words” by the so-called ‘M ACC deputy director who told Ling that once her pending divorce is settled, “the on-going MACC investigation will go away”.
“There was also one occasion whereby Ling was placed together with her estranged husband with the MACC officer asking them to settle their pending divorce on the spot,” the Orang Asli advocate pointed out.

“What has a MACC officer to do talk about divorce … This is mind blowing. Was he trying to impose pressure on Ling?
“Based on the latest media report citing the IGP (Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain) that Ling’s husband is one of the suspects, we can now ask if any of the MACC officers have been paid by someone otherwise why was the so-called deputy director so keen to intervene?”
Another valuable piece of information was that the Grab driver ferrying Ling to the MACC HQ on April 9 claimed that the two individuals in “PDRM vest” – a man and a woman – who had allegedly abducted Ling, had also forced him to mark the ride as “completed”.
Harian Metro farther reported that the 55-year-old e-hailing driver who only wished to be known as Kok, further claimed that the said individuals also confiscated his driving licence and identification card.
Yesterday (May 6), Siti Kasim rallied Malaysians to demand an answer from the police as to how come there has been no trace or clues leading to Ling’s disappearance after close to one month for whatever happened to Ling cam happen to anyone else.

As to the concern raised by IGP Razarudin that “people want to tarnish reputation of police and MACC”, Siti Kasim has this to say:
“Please la, Mr IGP. The public is not despising the police for we know you guys are giving your best shot.
“But even the police have to accept that not all officers are good at their job – transparent, straight forward or ethical. There are bound to be rogue cops or incompetent MACC officers.
“Same here in the legal profession which I’ve to admit there’re lawyers who siphoned clients’ money or even doctors for the matter.
The bottom line is we’re not badmouthing the police or MACC but if there’re rogue officers in the force or at MACC, these culprits need to be exposed.
We just want the country to be ruled efficiently and smoothly as opposed to diminishing your reputation.
For now, let’s keep an eye on the investigation on Ling’s husband.  - Focus Malaysia
