(FMT) – A lawyer has called on the Election Commission (EC) to lodge a police report against PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, who told voters in the Cameron Highlands by-election that it was the duty of Muslims to vote only for Muslim candidates.

Syed Iskandar Syed Jaafar Al Mahdzar probably does not know that what the PAS President, Abdul Hadi Awang, said is actually from the Quran (5:51). This is the problem with modern or so-called liberal Malays. Most of these people have rejected the Quran.
Chapter 109 of the Quran explains this issue quite clearly. So there is really no issue with Hadi asking Muslims to choose only Muslims as their leaders. This is what Allah has decreed in the Quran.

Of course, if Syed Iskandar Syed Jaafar Al Mahdzar wants to challenge the Quran in court he can do so. After all, Hadi cannot possibly prove that the Quran actually did come from Allah and was not fabricated by a man named Muhammad (or prove that this man named Muhammad really existed).
