IT ISN’T easy to find wagyu in a restaurant, as it is considered luxury food where there is fine dining, wine and all the good decor and ambience to convince people to pay up for the heft bill later.
So it comes as a surprise that some Malaysians would choose to dine on wagyu pizza, not in any restaurant, but by the side of the road.
Perhaps smoke from the passing vehicles add flavour to the meal? Or maybe the fast traffic that threatens one’s life raises the adrenaline level, giving the meal a better taste.
As a consolation, the pizza wagyu seller who was reportedly a chef influencer distributes his pizza from a luxury multi purpose vehicle. That should count for something. 
However, it appears Malaysians will not be able to experience this unique dining experience anymore.

Recently, the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council in a statement on Facebook said that action has been taken against him since he was selling the meal without a license, causing some disruption to the public.
Netizens by the droves applauded the action. A good many of them also condemned the action of the chef-influencer.
Take for example, netizen @rossgeller944 who wondered why he is only fined now when the pizza wagyu by the side of the road had gone viral for a long time.

Another netizen was curious why people would want to eat in a car by the side of the road, even if it is a luxury MPV, when they could have enjoyed being in a restaurant under an air conditioner.
@Puankucingg added that his style of business was like selling drugs, hiding about, changing location, with all those checkpoints and payment in cash only.

“The biggest fools are the people who bought it,” said @abahkaulatu. 
However, @TVivivanne countered, saying that the purchasers had the good intention of supporting the business of a bumiputera.
“Is he looking to avoid tax so that he doesn’t want to apply for a license?” said @IkhwanPK2022.
“MPAJ always supports initiatives to develop local entrepreneurs as drivers of the community’s economy,” said the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council on Facebook.
“However, we hope that all parties will comply with the regulations and laws set to safeguard communal harmony,” the post added.
The council also noted that a meeting has been arranged with relevant parties to discuss the best solutions to prevent the recurrence of unlicensed business activities.
MPAJ reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperation with the community to create a safer and more orderly environment for all. — Focus Malaysia
