Two Year Old Boy Becomes Sarawak S Youngest Covid 19 Patient

Its chairman, Douglas Uggah Embas, said all 10 cases, comprising eight local transmissions and two imported cases, were recorded in Kuching. The imported cases were Indonesian women who entered the state under medical tourism.
He said the toddler linked to the Green Hill Cluster, was the youngest Covid-19 patient in Sarawak.
“We have reported four cases linked to the Green Hill cluster, aged between two and 58. The two-year-old is the youngest Covid-19 patient in Sarawak for now.
“We named the cluster after a street in the city, where most of the cases (from the cluster) had visited recently,” he said at a press conference.
Sarawak deputy CM Douglas Uggah Embas.He said there were 29 positive cases linked to the cluster, including the index case – a businessman who tested positive at a private hospital on Oct 26.
Uggah, who is also the deputy chief minister, said another three cases are linked to the Baki Cluster, aged between 12 and 20.
“A local woman who worked at a beauty parlour at Galacity commercial centre also tested positive, but further investigation is required to determine the source of infection,” he said.

He added that his committee had decided that all tuition centres, kindergartens and nurseries in Kuching will be closed from tomorrow until Nov 13.All educational institutions, primary and secondary schools, and private schools registered under the education ministry are also not allowed to operate for the same period.
To date, Sarawak has recorded a total of 856 Covid-19 cases, including 19 deaths. - FMT
