The hopeless media really does not know how to report the news. As always, after you read the news it raises more questions  than answers.  
Other reports say savings in compensation of RM191 Million. Paul Tan says,  '15 km extension of the highway, and for the concession period to be extended until 2057'.
My question is what the hell is this RM191 million 'savings in compensation payment'? Hello news media, cakap lah betul-betul. We are already paying toll. So what savings in compensation are they talking about? 
There is always a quid pro quo. And there is no such thing as a free lunch. 
If the gomen 'saves' RM191 million in paying compensation, it means the  gomen must have given up something else. Or agreed to something else - to make up for that RM191 million.
So what is it? What did the gomen give up that is worth RM191 million? Hello Media, go and ask lah betul-betul.
The existing stretch is just over 19 km. It was completed in  2004 (started toll collection). The original Concession period was until 2030 - for 26 years. Now extended by 27 years until 2057.
My point is this. They must stop collecting toll on the original 19 km stretch when the existing Concession ends in 2030. Come 2030 there should be no more tolls on the original 19 km stretch. WHY? Because we have already fully paid for it over 26 years. That is why.
If they collect new tolls, then it should only be on the new extension of 15 km.
Please do not come up with whatever toll restructuring b.s. and then say we still have to pay toll along the original 19 km stretch plus also pay toll for the new 15 km extension - a total of 34 km, until 2057.
They should collect the new tolls only on the new extension of 15 km when it is completed.  
How much toll will they agree to if the gomen gets kicked all the way from here to the South Pole? This toll bullshit has to come to an end. The people have a choice - the people shud just send them into low earth orbit. Believe me the tolls will end.
