Beyblade - a toy crazed by children today - is nine-year-old Taufik Iskandar’s favourite toy
And because it is his most loved item, he gifted it to the teacher he loves the most
“I am giving you this gift because it is something I love the most
“So I hope that every time you see it, you will remember me,” the Standard 3 primary school student said in a note accompanying the Japanese-made toy

The toy was gifted to Nur Fitri Nor Azman on his last day as a relief teacher at SK Sungai Telor in Kota Tinggi, Johor
Nur Fitri’s tweet with a photo of the sweet and innocent gesture received at least 7,000 retweets and 10,000 likes at the time of writing
When contacted, the 23-year-old teacher said he was touched when he received the gift
“I got a lump in my throat reading the message. (I uploaded the photo online) to show what a good and kind-hearted student he is. He is one of a kind,” he said
Fitri said he did not expect the photo would go viral
Fitri with Taufik and his classmates from 3 Tekun“At first I felt amused because he thought adults also play with Beyblade,” he shared
“I am grateful for all the gifts my students gave me, they are all meaningful. It shows they appreciate us as teachers.”Fitri with other teachers from SK Sungai Telor, Kota TinggiFitri, who holds a degree in teaching English, worked as a relief teacher at SK Sungai Telor for two months while waiting for permanent placement. He ended his tenure at the Johor school earlier this week
He previously taught English at SK Bandar Kiara and SK Sungai Way in Selangor
