Things Most People Do Not Know On The Formation Of Cloud And Precipitation

اَلسَلامُ عَلَيْكُم وَرَحْمَةُ اَللهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ

Do you still remember what you have learnt during primary and secondary science lesson about rain formation?

What I have discovered lately was quite shocking since I have lived believing that cloud and rain formation was due to the condensation process.  Yes it is true its due to condensation process, but what I did not know was the condensation process is aided by a type of bacteria called Pseudomonas syringae.

This living organism is capable of producing a protein that performs the nucleus condensation function.

There is a term in an article that says their habit of ‘fluctuating in the clouds’ which reminds me of the verse in the Surah al-Baqarah which mentions the word ‘terapung-apung di antara langit dan bumi’ or 'floating in between the earth and the sky'.

With the presence of the bacteria floating between the sky and the earth, they will release compounds into the air that draw moisture droplets together to form clouds.
….demikian juga peredaran angin dan awan yang tunduk terapung-apung di antara langit dengan bumi; sesungguhnya ada tanda-tanda (yang membuktikan keesaan Allah kekuasaanNya, kebijaksanaanNya, dan keluasan rahmatNya) bagi kaum yang menggunakan akal fikiran….(2:164)The younger generation should have been taught that most bacteria bring us good than harm. They harm people almost exclusively when people make mistakes that let dangerous bacteria gain an advantage. But the benefits we receive from them far outweigh than harm.
