And the non-Malays-non-Muslims must stay on their side of the border and not stray into the Malay-Muslim side of the border. And if they forget themselves and do not stay on their side of the border the Malays are going to put them in their place — by force if necessary. That was what the 8th December 2018 anti-ICERD rally was all about — a warning shot across the bow and a reminder that the next shot will not be a warning.  NO HOLDS BARRED

Some say 50,000 turned up. Some say 500,000. But it does not really matter how many were in the 8th December 2018 anti-ICERD rally in Kuala Lumpur. What matters is that it was a Malay-Muslim rally targeted at non-Muslims, in particular the DAP Chinese and Hindu extremists.
The message was not really that they did not want ICERD. Most Malays-Muslims do not care about ICERD because they know Malaysia will always be a constitutional monarchy, Islam will always be the religion of the federation, Bahasa Malaysia will always be Malaysia’s national language, and the Bumiputeras will always have special privileges (which many call ‘rights’ instead of ‘privileges’).
So they can ratify 100 ICERDS and even the United Nations 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) but it will not matter two hoots. Nothing is going to change. Malaysia will always be a constitutional monarchy, Islam will always be the religion of the federation, Bahasa Malaysia will always be Malaysia’s national language, and the Bumiputeras will always have special privileges.

Of course, the so-called liberal Malays will disagree, as will their Chinese and Indian baruah. They will insist the future lies with multiculturalism. Malays and Muslims who resist liberalism and multiculturalism are racists and extremists.
But then serve these so-called liberal Malays haram pork and see how they react. They will eat beef but not pork. Pork sausages may be very delicious but these self-proclaimed liberal Malays-Muslims will not eat the tastier pork sausages because it is haram.
Is not haram and halal something from the middle-ages? That is what ignorant Arabs who could not read or write believed in. Surely in this modern age liberal Muslims no longer hold to old traditions?
No, there is no such thing as a liberal Muslim. You are either a Muslim or you are a fasiq, maybe even a munafiq. So do not be fooled by all this talk of liberal Muslims. Muslim parents would never allow their daughters to convert to Hinduism to marry a Hindu man and bring their children up as Hindus. So they are as extremist as the next Muslim who will refuse to be really liberal and devour those delicious pork sausages.
So it does not matter whether Malaysia ratifies ICERD or not. Malaysia is going to remain the same nevertheless. The anti-ICERD rally was not out of fear that Malaysia will ratify ICERD. It was to send a message to the DAP Chinese and Hindu extremists that there are two Malaysias, not 1Malaysia. There is the Malay-Muslim Malaysia and there is the non-Malay-non-Muslim Malaysia.
