Anih Bhd, the concessionaire of the KLK and the East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (LPT1), said the westbound stretch (towards Kuala Lumpur) was opened to all vehicles at 9.30am today.
"After completing comprehensive measures and implementing appropriate assessments following the sinkhole incident on Tuesday, Anih has safely reopened the affected stretch.

"Following the incident, all parties including the police, fire and rescue department, Malaysia Rail Link (MRL) have swiftly assessed the situation and taken prompt remedial actions. Anih worked diligently alongside these agencies to ensure fast highway reopening and prioritising the comfort and safety of all road users.
"The rapid and coordinated response from our dedicated team, along with the support from the local authorities played a pivotal role in swiftly resolving the situation during the recovery efforts," read the statement.
Anih pledged to continue monitoring the road's condition and advised all road users to adhere to the speed limits while driving along KM66.1 of the KLK.

Yesterday, Anih Bhd opened the eastbound lanes at the KLK near Bentong toll plaza while the westbound stretch (towards Kuala Lumpur) remains closed and a contra-flow lane was activated in the respective area.
