Caleb Liang Wei Luqman Limonte.“There have been no real leads or sightings, but people are starting to reach out to us,” Daylin Limonte Alvarez told FMT. She believes it is “only a matter of time” before someone sees her son, Caleb Liang Wei Luqman Limonte.
Luqman Liang Hsien Masood.The 36-year-old alleges that Caleb was abducted by his father, Luqman Liang Hsien Masood, in May last year and brought into Malaysia in breach of a custody order.
She said the shariah courts in Singapore and Johor Bahru had granted her sole custody of the boy and ordered Luqman to return the child to her. A Nur Alert was later issued in Malaysia to help locate him.
Last week, the New Straits Times reported Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Raub Selamat as confirming that investigations were ongoing into the case.
Daylin expressed appreciation for the Malaysian police, describing them as “very helpful.”

However, she questioned if they were receiving the necessary assistance from their Singapore counterparts.
She claimed that Singapore police have yet to question Luqman’s parents or examine financial records that could assist in locating her son. She also said Luqman’s family may be in contact with him and supporting him financially.
Daylin is appealing to the public for help, and is offering a RM50,000 reward for information that could lead to Caleb’s whereabouts.

To her son, she said: “Caleb, Mama is looking for you. I love you, and I’ll never stop searching.” - FMT
