Shouldn T Dapsy Chief Stay Out Of Combustible Kg Sg Baru Affairs Just Let Umno Youth Defend Madani Gov T

“ACTUALLY, you guys should just keep quiet and eat your popcorn”.
That was a sensible reaction by a commenter to the statement by Pakatan Harapan (PH) Youth that featured DAP Socialist Youth (DAPSY) chief Woo Kah Leong as its spokesman given he also helmed the former.
Yesterday (Sept 12), the Pasir Bedamar state assemblyman who has been the PH Youth chieftain since March 11 slammed PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden by accusing the latter of “riding on the Kampung Sungai Baru issue”.


Woo claimed that the controversial land acquisition was gazetted on June 21, 2021 during the reign of the Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) administration with PAS also happened to hold the minister’s portfolio (referring to former UMNO federal territories minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa who has since joined PAS).
At a glance, there is nothing for PH Youth expressing its dismay at PAS Youth but given the highly inflammable nature of the Kg Sg Baru controversy – a wholesomely Type-M affairs – wouldn’t it be wise for Woo to appoint the movement’s information chief Ammar Attan as its spokesman to defend the Madani government instead?
Or better still, just leave it to the rightist, firebrand UMNO Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh to champion such cause?
This is because speaking up on the matter has inevitably given ammunition to detractors to further undermine DAP as if whatever words that came out of Woo’s mouth is reflective of his party’s stance towards the Malay.
Call this tit-for-tat as some DAP haters dug up the illegal Raub Musang King land invasion by durian planters to illustrate the party’s hypocrisy in defending the interest of durian planters.

Although some sensible commenters defended PH Youth that majority of the Kg Sg Baru homeowners have received compensation – some “beyond RM1 mil” according to their land size – or that it was the residents themselves who sought the developer to develop their land, it will be most unfortunate if DAP is dragged into this issue amid racial insinuation.
A distinction has to be drawn between seeking justice for those who had been accused of being unpatriotic for having mistakenly flown the Jalur Gemilang upside down from so-called ‘mob justice’ but the Kg Sg Baru issue is never a racial issue to begin with and best be kept that way.
DAPSY’s Woo should steer clear from the Kg Sg Baru ‘landmine’ by leaving it to his UMNO Youth counterpart who has established the stature of ABATA (abbreviation for religion, race and nation) defender to find the ultimate solution. –  Focus Malaysia
