Seoul Sambut Dr Mahathir Dengan Standing In The Eyes Of The World

Seoul menyambut kehadiran Dr Mahathir dengan lagu ‘Standing In The Eyes of The World”.
Lagu tersebut amat sinonim dengan Perdana Menteri Malaysia selepas Sukan Komanwel 1998 yang dipersembahkan oleh pasukan pancaragam dan kumpulan persembahan Tentera Korea Selatan.
YAB Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad selamat tiba di Pangkalan Udara Seoul pada 1.30 tengah hari Rabu waktu tempatan (12.30 tengah hari waktu Malaysia) untuk memulakan lawatan rasmi ke Seoul. Hadir untuk menyambut ketibaan beliau ialah Menteri Kesihatan dan Kebajikan Korea, Park Neung-hoo; Duta Korea Selatan di Malaysia, Lee Chi-beom; dan Jeneral Hal Ehwal Protokol Komander Bae Soon-wook daripada 15th Special Missions Wing
Turut hadir Menteri Luar Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah; Menteri Komunikasi dan Multimedia Gobind Singh Deo; Menteri Kesihatan Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad; Menteri Air, Tanah dan Sumber Asli Dr A Xavier Jayakumar; Duta Malaysia di Korea Datuk Mohd Ashri Muda, dan Atase Pertahanan Malaysia di Seoul, Kolonel Mohd Sobirin Mohd Yusof.
Semasa lawatan itu, Dr Mahathir akan mengetuai delegasi Malaysia dalam mesyuarat dua hala dengan Presiden Korea Selatan, Moon Jae In.
Hal ini ekoran daripada perbincangan kedua-dua pemimpin itu di Kuala Lumpur semasa lawatan negara Moon ke Malaysia dari 12 hingga 14 Mac 2019 yang lalu.
Esok kedua-dua pemimpin dijadual menyaksikan majlis memeterai empat memorandum persefahaman (MOU) dalam teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi; kerajaan digital; penjagaan kesihatan dan sains perubatan serta pengurusan air dan pembetungan.
Selain daripada menghadiri program rasmi tersebut, perdana menteri juga dijadual mengambil bahagian dalam mesyuarat perniagaan meja bulat bersama peneraju industri Korea Selatan dan menerima kunjungan hormat daripada presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Daewoo Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd.
Dr Mahathir juga turut mengambil peluang untuk bertemu dengan diaspora Malaysia di Seoul.
Perdana Menteri dan Dr Siti Hasmah dijangka kembali ke Malaysia esok.
