Sanusi To Be Charged Tomorrow

Caretaker Kedah menteri besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor is exepcted to be charged in court tomorrow over his speech that allegedly insulted the Selangor sultan.
This is based on a listing of cases to be heard at the Selayang Sessions Court at 9am tomorrow, while sources have confirmed that the police have wrapped up their investigations against the PAS leader.
According to the court listing, a 'Muhammad Sanusi Bin Md Nor' will be charged before Session Court judges Osman Affendi Mohd Shalleh and Nor Rajiah Mat Zin at the Selayang Sessions Court 1 and 2, respectively.
The document, available to the public on the judiciary's website, did not state details on the charges or the nature of the cases against Sanusi.

Section 504 of the Penal Code stipulates offences for intentional insults that give provocation to others.
"From what I understand, the investigation papers were submitted to the Attorney-General's Chambers earlier today," said the source.
However, Sanusi when contacted by Malaysiakini at 7pm today, claimed that he has yet to receive any notice to appear before the court.
"I haven't been notified," he said briefly in a text message.
Malaysiakini has reached out to the federal police headquarters and Attorney-General Idrus Harun to seek their confirmation and comments.
Dozens of police reports
Sanusi allegedly insulted Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah in his speech during a political ceramah in Selayang recently.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Sanusi was seen comparing the Kedah sultan and his Selangor counterpart, whom he alleged had chosen a "lousy" menteri besar.
The Perikatan Nasional election director also touched on the issue of the lineage of royal families in Malaysia, where he claimed that the only sultan who has uninterrupted lineage was the sultan of Kedah.
Following this, Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain on Thursday said the police have launched an investigation against the caretaker menteri besar.
Sanusi's remarks also triggered dozens of police reports for allegedly insulting the royal institution.
One such report was filed by the Selangor Royal Council, which serves as the Selangor ruler's advisory body.
Earlier today, Sultan Sharafuddin decreed that the matter concerning Sanusi's speech was "unresolved".
The decree came after the ruler granted separate audiences to Selangor PAS chief Ahmad Yunus Hairi and Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan in Shah Alam today. - Mkini
