Rule Of Law My Foot
ZAHID's trial resumes at the KL High Court today with diminishing light for the prosecution team to reach the 'guilty' verdict as some key witnesses produced by them had turned their back by providing evidence and statement in favor of him.
The team said will produce some 50 witnesses (so far 43 have testified) before wrapping the case, deemed as politically motivated by the previous 'a la politburo' regime to wipe out UMNO from Malaysia's political scene and put an end to the UMNO's president political march.
The 'Rule of Law' that dodged Malaysians and self-promoted by Pakatan Harapan was the same set of law principles applied in acquitting former Sabah chief minister Musa Aman and Najib's stepson Riza Aziz recently. It was to the disgust of Dr Mahathir & Gang since similar Rule of Law found no tangible evidence to convict both.
Under their Rule of Law, whoever produced in court on political vendetta must end up in jail. However, the Perikatan Nasional under PM Muhyiddin Yassin only follow the right proceeding and did not alter nor change PH's Rule of Law.
Zahid's case may come short or longer. My take is, no time should be wasted for political and selective prosecution because of it futility forecast. Unless they want to implicate him and close the door for his candidacy in the next general election, believed to be this year.
Dr Mahathir wanted his Rule of Law to work to his index finger. I think he wants to become PM again because he has something big to hide, and for that his Rule of Law will be used to protect his major wrongdoings. Don't you think so?
I hope his Rule of Law will re-open some cases involving PH leaders, including that of Lim Guan Eng. They found protection under its regime which enable them holding ministerial posts and key positions in the GLCs.
And it is interesting to note how Anwar Ibrahim supported Najib's suggestion for the re-opening of the Forex scandal which involves Mahathir. It happened in the 90s when about RM30 billion gone ashtray. Anwar, the Finance Minister at that particular time claimed did not take a single sen from it.
In his FB posting yesterday, Najib had urged the attorney-general to reopen several cases where charges against Pakatan Harapan leaders had been dropped, as well as the findings of a royal commission of inquiry into the RM30 billion losses suffered by Bank Negara in foreign exchange speculation.
He also challenged PH leaders to support his call for action, saying they had complained about cases being dropped against his stepson Riza Aziz and former Sabah chief minister Musa Aman.
Najib had questioned the authorities’ inaction on the report in January, saying the royal commission was supposed to be the highest investigating body in the country and that its recommendations should be adhered to.
In its 400-page report, the commission blamed former BNM adviser Nor Mohamed Yakcop for the loss of RM31.5 billion which was borne by the central bank in its forex dealings between 1992 and 1994.
It also recommended the police investigate the then prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, as well as Anwar, BNM’s board of directors, the National Audit Department and the finance ministry.
Now, is Mahathir willing to be investigated? I do not thinks so and that is why is doing all the dirty political tricks to become PM again and uses his Rule of Law to sweep the dirt under the carpet. His Rule of Law will also be enforced again to wipe out his political enemies, and Zahid and Najib are some of them.
Ohh... maybe I must mention here that at the KL High Court today, there were some faces who disappeared two years ago had begun to be chummy to Zahid and his team again. You know why!
