Rosmah Lodges Police Report Against Ex Ag
Former premier Najib Abdul Razak's wife, Rosmah Mansor, has lodged a police report against former attorney-general Tommy Thomas.
An aide to Rosmah made the report at Dang Wangi district police station tonight over Thomas' two affidavits dated May 11 linked to her ongoing legal bid to nullify her solar corruption trial.
According to the report sighted by Malaysiakini, Rosmah urged police to investigate Thomas for perjury or "lying" in the two affidavits, including on the appointment of former federal court judge Gopal Sri Ram as an ad-hoc deputy public prosecutor.
Thomas' affidavit was in response to Rosmah's application seeking to nullify her entire trial, in her bid to be acquitted of all three charges, as well as to remove Sri Ram as the lead prosecutor.
Thomas, who was appointed as the attorney-general on June 4, 2018, in his affidavit said Rosmah's application to challenge Sri Ram's appointment was done with malintent, was baseless and an abuse of the court process.
When contacted, Rosmah's lawyer Akberdin Abdul Kader confirmed that the report was lodged on his client's behalf.

"Shockingly in the affidavit, he (Thomas) mentioned the fact that he doesn't need to give a written fiat, but that he had given an oral approval to appoint him (Sri Ram).
"Which is completely in contradiction to the fiat which they had already given to us after the Court of Appeal asked them to," he told Malaysiakini.
Akberdin cited a Court of Appeal decision that allowed Rosmah's appeal to obtain a copy of Sri Ram's appointment letter, following the prosecution conceding to provide it to the defence team.
On May 7, Rosmah filed a bid to nullify her corruption trial linked to the RM1.25 billion solar hybrid project for 369 rural schools in Sarawak.
According to cause papers made available to the media, Rosmah's nullification application is centred around the validity of Sri Ram's appointment letter, allowing him to lead the prosecution in her case. - Mkini
