In fact, he is amazed at the warm welcome he has gotten from everybody, including from Barisan Nasional members, while on the campaign trail.
The Johor Parti Amanah Negara vice-chairman said, in such a short span of time, he has managed to visit several Umno voting district centres in Pulai.
He said he has been greeted warmly by the BN election machinery in all and, as such, does not feel like an outsider coming to them.
"Personally, I am amazed by the support I have been getting from Umno members, whether at state, division or branch level.
"This morning, I was with Menteri Besari Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi and in the evening, I was with Umno Johor chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.
"The support I have been given proves that the cooperation between PH and BN is not just empty talk, but something that is tried and tested.
"They are willing to give me the sapce and opportunity to work and be with them at the centres. If it wasn't sincere, they wouldn't do that or come to meet me and allow me the opportunity to talk to them.
"In doing so, we will have a closer relationship at all branches and I can explain to them directly about the cooperation that can help us retain Pulai," he said. - NST
