Puad Better Approve Muda Too Why Be Afraid Of Syed Saddiq

Following the setting up of Parti Kuasa Rakyat, a multiracial party spearheaded by the brother of Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, an Umno leader asked the government to approve the application of Muda as a political party.
Taking to Facebook, Umno supreme council member Puad Zarkashi said there is no reason for the government to be afraid of former Youth and Sports Minister and Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.
"Same but not the same. There is two PKR now - Parti Keadilan Rakyat and Parti Kuasa Rakyat. Let's not just approve the registration of the new PKR (as a political party) but not Muda.
"What to (be) afraid of Syed Saddiq. Better to approve (the registration of) both parties. When is Azmin Ali's new party (going to be established)?" Puad (above) said, obviously taking a jibe at the leader in the ruling administration.
Parti Kuasa Rakyat party hit media headline as its founder and pro-tem president Kamarazaman Yaakob is the elder brother to the premier. The party offered itself as the component party of BN.
New leadership
The establishment of the new political outfit came after internal conflicts in Umno was resolved as both factions in the party agreed that Ismail Sabri is the country's ninth prime minister, immediately ending the potential turmoil following the resignation of Muhyiddin Yassin as the eighth premier.
When asked about the party's registration with the Registrar of Society at the launching ceremony yesterday, Kamarazaman said his part was discussing with a party, which has been registered, to merge and form a new leadership.
As for Muda, a youth-led political party established in September 2020, it was having difficulty in getting itself registered as a political party.
On Aug 12, Home Minister Hamzah Zainuddin denied Muda’s appeal for registration. As a result, the group withdrew an earlier legal action to compel the minister to decide on its appeal for registration. - Mkini
