Psm Has Fighting Chance In Ayer Kuning
YOURSAY | ‘Strengthen third force to keep Pakatan Harapan on its toes.’
'Disruptor' PSM wrestles for votes while stuck between titans
PSM 'thanks' Akmal for giving it a boost
KK Voter: If PSM wants to be a true disruptor, it needs to contest all seats in the next general election with partners or contest at least one entire state and ask voters to try them for one term.
This will probably attract more voters fed up with established coalitions because you're giving them a real third choice.
I said the same thing to Muda and PSM before the six-state election in 2023.
No point contesting selected urban seats, playing spoilers or trying to be kingmaker as, from experience, any government, even with a tiny majority, will still bulldoze its way into Parliament.
Kingmakers either just make a lot of noise or extract a lot of concessions for themselves.
Start now. If funding is an issue, learn from DAP's early days fundraising strategies.
The public will support you if you fire up their imaginations with what is possible.
Having said that, the most important thing is, how are you different if you are in power, and how can the public trust you, too, will not be corrupted by power if they put you there?
Wish you the best in this one.
IndigoGoat3056: The problem in this country lies in the lack of maturity and intelligence being considered.
Two things in life don’t require intelligence or maturity. The first is getting married, and the other is becoming a voter.
For both, the only qualification is age. Because of this, we see rising divorce rates in households and a political scene that is opportunistic.
This becomes evident when a political party like PSM, which is genuinely people-centric and constantly fights for the rights of the rakyat, is criticised in public comments with statements like: PSM will lose their deposit and waste money.
Even if they win one seat, what can they do?
There is an obsession with the two-party system.
This is what political maturity looks like - what we see in the comment sections of Malaysiakini.
If PSM loses in the Ayer Kuning by-election, who really loses?
If PSM forfeits their deposit, who suffers? It certainly won’t be PSM.
In truth, it’s the voters' maturity that's being deceived by racial, religious, and opportunistic politics.
But I believe the voters in Ayer Kuning are wise enough to make the best decision.
Pink: PSM deputy chairperson S Arutchelvan is naive if not shallow to think that Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh's response to PSM’s poster is promoting PSM and giving it a boost.
Akmal never promotes anyone but himself. He is using PSM’s poster to make himself look like a hero amongst the Malay Muslims.
Umno is going to win handsomely with DAP and MIC’s help. That goes without saying.
I am not a fan of Umno, but I do not mind it winning either.
When Umno was the dominant party, nobody dared to touch on 3R issues, unlike now under the wimpy Madani government.
Umno will put everyone in their place.
AntiRacial: If you're eligible to vote in Ayer Kuning, and you’re serious about real change, just vote for PSM.
Just look at what’s happening in Seri Muda after people gave their support to the so-called Madani party.
Stop letting the Madani government take us for fools. Enough is enough.
Cogito Ergo Sum: Vote for the candidate who is hardworking. Hard work brings development and progress.
Voter grievances will at least be made known in Parliament. At least don’t let the party candidate lose her deposit.
Koel: What a sad country we are when our "giants" are those tainted by racism and corruption!
Malaysian voters need to step up and stop voting for the worst of our humanity.
Save our currency: PSM’s Ayer Kuning hopeful, Bawani KS, l don’t think you will lose your deposit this time.
Anyway, you have the right to have a good fight. Not sure which way the results will go, but you can make a difference in the results.
So keep going as you are gathering support, surely and steadily. Good luck to you!
MarioT: All communities must believe we can all progress by coming together as one. All for one and one for all.
Say no to racial or religious politics, no to isolation, no to pitting one race against the other. Say yes to unity.
Say yes to a new beginning, free of corruption and stealing people's money. Say yes to change.
Vote PSM to start the new journey.
LETDOWN SINCE 2018: With all the failures and “sandiwara” (theatrics) going on, why not give a minion a chance to earn a life-long pension?
This will really send a message, not all the talk and promises. What have people got to lose?
Hmmm: If voting for any candidate will not make any difference to you, why not then vote PSM to send a message that you are not happy with the present administration?
