Politics Is About Destroying Your Enemies
And that is why Anwar cannot become the prime minister. No one who sincerely wants to serve the rakyat can ever become the prime minister. They become priests, become an aid worker in Africa, try to save the Terengganu penyu, etc. But they never become a politician.
NO HOLDS BARRED

Puad is honest about the insincerity of politicians
Umno’s Mohd Puad Zarkashi raised a very valid point. He asked whether the word ‘sincerity’ exists amongst politicians? I suppose Puad could have also asked whether the word ‘sincerity’ exists amongst humans in general.
I know many Muslims who pray five times a day, fast for 30 days during the month of Ramadan (sometimes fast for more than 30 days, like almost the whole year), go to Mekah every year (and sometimes more than once a year), and so on.
But that is because they have been promised pahala and heaven if they do all these things. If the Qur’an says you will receive nothing if you do all these things, and you will still go to heaven even if you steal, rape and murder, the mosques would be empty and Mekah will go bankrupt.
In short, humans are not sincere, even in their dealings with God, and they will do things only if they receive rewards and benefit.
So, when you hear politicians say they are just trying to serve the rakyat and that they are in politics for the sake of the rakyat, that is like a prostitute saying she is opening her legs NOT for money but out of love for God.
At least Puad is honest about his dishonesty. And I love sincere insincere people. He said what I have been saying for 50 years, which is politics is about power and the game of thrones where you try to destroy your enemy.
I have no qualms about destroying my enemy. My only regret is that the laws of Malaysia will no longer allow me to stick a keris in to my enemy’s belly, like in the old days 300 or 400 years ago…sigh…
Anwar can never become the Prime Minister because he just wants to serve the rakyat, which is the wrong reason
Sometimes I wish I was born in the 1700s during the time when the Bugis took over Selangor and installed the first Sultan of Selangor, Raja Lumu bin Daeng Chelak, onto the Selangor throne.
In those days, we Bugis never tolerated or gave face to our enemies. In fact, we were so fierce that even the Dutch gave up and made a deal with Raja Haji to give 50% of what they stole from the British, in particular the opium, to the Bugis.
Yes, we Bugis, not the Chinese, were the biggest opium traders in the Straits of Melaka and the surrounding area. And when the Chinese wanted to enter Selangor to mine for tin, they had to come see us Bugis first.
The Bugis will stab first and ask questions later…bless their soul
It was the Bugis, members of the Selangor Royal Family, who brought the Chinese all the way from Kelang to Ampang, where the first tin mine was opened. The lower part of Ampang (now called Jalan Ampang) was established as a Chinese settlement for the opium dens and brothels.
And the Bugis so graciously allowed the Chinese to claim that the founder of what is now called Kuala Lumpur is a Chinaman named Yap Ah Loy.
(It was not so Islamic for the Bugis to claim that the founder of Kuala Lumpur, meaning Jalan Ampang, was Raja Abdullah since it was for opium dens and brothels. Hence the Bugis had an Ali Baba arrangement with the Chinese — we let them take the name as long as we got the money).
Raja Haji forced the Dutch to hand over 50% of the opium they stole from the British
Anyway, in the triad wars all over Selangor (called the Selangor Wars), Yap Ah Loy got whacked very badly and he had to escape to Kelang for the safety of the Sultan’s Palace. Imagine the Sultan’s surprise to see Yap Ah Loy at the Palace gates in just his underwear (not sure if it was ‘Pagoda’ yet then). Yap Ah Loy’s camp was attacked by surprise and he did not even have time to put on his pants before he escaped.
Anyway, the Sultan sent his army to drive out the Chinese so that Yap Ah Loy could take back control of Ampang. If not, no one would have known who Yap Ah Loy is and the founder of Kuala Lumpur might have been someone name Kutty Muhammad bin Abdullah instead.
Yap Ah Loy was the Chinese gangster who got whacked in the Selangor Triad Wars and had to be saved by the Sultan
However, as usual, I am digressing, so allow me to get back to the subject of sincerity and politicians. Politics is not about sincerity and serving the rakyat. Those who are sincere and wish to serve the rakyat have all gone to India to join Mother Teresa’s mission.
Politics is about the pursuit of power, getting rich, and killing off your enemies. And that is why Anwar Ibrahim is a failure. He keeps telling us that he just wishes to serve the rakyat.
And that is why Anwar cannot become the prime minister. No one who sincerely wants to serve the rakyat can ever become the prime minister. They become priests, become an aid worker in Africa, try to save the Terengganu penyu, etc. But they never become a politician.
