Police To Record Najib Razak S Statement This Week
Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak (above) is expected to have his statement recorded this week in connection with an alleged fake online posting concerning Perak DAP chief Nga Kor Ming
This follows a report lodged by Nga's senior private secretary Tan Tiong Yih in Ipoh early this month
"We have contacted him to let him know that police will record his statement by this week," Federal Crime Investigation Department chief Huzir Mohamed said today
Asked if the police would record Najib's statement at his house, Huzir said: "Normally, he would have to come here (Bukit Aman)."
Najib had accused Nga of insulting Selangor ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah via his Facebook page "Nga Kor Ming Super Fans page" last month
Nga had refuted the allegation, saying that Najib's facebook page had uploaded fake news with the intention to slander
Nga had his statement recorded as a witness at Bukit Aman on Oct 8
"I am confident that the truth will prevail and justice will be served," Nga said
The Teluk Intan MP stressed that there was a political conspiracy to tarnish his good name and that of DAP
He had demanded Najib apologise to all Malaysians for using a fake Facebook posting to sow hatred among the people towards him and DAP
“A check online found that the posting Najib referred to was from a Facebook page titled 'Jiu Shi Huang Ya', which has nothing to do with me or DAP. This proves Najib lied again,” Nga had said in an earlier statement
Meanwhile, Huzir said that police will carry out another round of recording Nga's statement in the near future. - Mkini
