Police Quiz Woman Who Uploaded Video Of Zayn Rayyan S Mum With Kids

Zayn Rayyan Zaim Ikhwan was reported missing on Dec 5, 2023, and his body was discovered in a stream near his home the following day.
PETALING JAYA: Police have recorded the statement of a woman who uploaded a video of Ismanira Abdul Manaf walking with her children, Zayn Rayyan Zaim Ikhwan and his brother Mateen, at their apartment in Damansara Damai.
Petaling Jaya police chief Shahrulnizam Ja’afar said the woman uploaded the video on her TikTok account as part of a movement pushing for “justice for Zayn Rayyan”.
The woman in question gave her statement after lodging a police report in Alor Gajah, Melaka, Harian Metro reported.
“So far, statements from five witnesses have been recorded, including the mother of the late Zayn Rayyan, the woman who uploaded the video, as well as a woman who recorded the video and her husband,” he said.
He added that the fifth witness was a friend of the woman who recorded the video, who went on to share the video with the TikTok account holder.
Last week, Ismanira lodged a report over the TikTok video of her walking with her two children shortly before Zayn Rayyan went missing and was later found dead.
She claimed the video recording was “not a coincidence” since the six-year-old was found dead less than 200m from the apartment not long after that.
Zayn Rayyan was reported missing on Dec 5, 2023, and his body was discovered in a stream near his home the following day.
He was believed to have been murdered after an autopsy revealed injuries to his neck and body, consistent with self-defence.
Ismanira and her husband, Zaim Ikhwan Zahari, are currently on trial after being charged with child neglect on June 13, 2024. - FMT
