Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Isa confirmed that a police report was lodged on April 9 over the disappearance of Pamela Ling, 42, the same day she was scheduled to give a statement to MACC.
Rusdi said Ling had gone to the MACC headquarters several times to give her statement prior to her disappearance.
He added that Ling’s lawyer had also lodged a police report in Seri Kembangan over her disappearance.
“Several witnesses have given their statements, including MACC officers and the victim’s lawyer, to assist in the investigation, which is for kidnapping or abduction with intent to secretly and wrongfully confine a person,” he said in a statement.
Earlier today, FMT reported that Ling, a mother of three, had been missing since last month while en route to the MACC headquarters. Her brother claimed that she had been abducted.
He said the e-hailing car Ling was travelling in that day was intercepted by three unidentified vehicles, and that she was instructed to get into one of them. - FMT
