Please Let Me Leave Ex Sabah Dap Chief Tells Party Leaders
Former Sabah DAP chief Jimmy Wong has urged the party's national leaders to accept his decision to resign and leave DAP with immediate effect.
Taking to Facebook, Wong (above) responded to DAP deputy secretary-general Teresa Kok who yesterday urged him to reconsider his decision, made after three Sabah lawmakers surprisingly lost in the recently concluded state party election.
He reminded Kok and the DAP national leaders of his efforts leading the Sabah chapter and contributing to Pakatan Harapan's success in the 14th general election (GE14) when it first formed the Warisan-led state government.
"My mission for DAP was completed and done after GE14... so the time has come to head a new mission impossible for Sabahans.
"I hereby plead and beg the DAP national leaders to give our group of highly motivated dedicated leaders a new chance to serve Sabahans," he said.
"Kindly release us and let us begin a new life to serve and love Sabahans to the best of our abilities, the way our leaders think fit in our free ways and dreams," he added.

In thanking Kok and DAP leaders for their recognition of his efforts, Wong insisted he will similarly not forget the party's contributions to Sabahans.
"(But) once again, please release me and let me go."
Wong yesterday blasted the new state leadership for playing politics and squeezing out other factions instead of adopting an inclusive approach.
This had supposedly resulted in the defeat of big names such as Kota Kinabalu MP Chan Foong Hin, Kepayan assemblyperson and state DAP Women chief Jannie Lasimbang, former senator Adrian Lasimbang, as well as Elopura assemblyperson Calvin Chong. - Mkini
