Fahmi Fadzil said these leaders have agreed not to dispute the election results following an audit, which revealed that there was no interference from external or third parties in the blockchain technology used in the voting.
Neither was the data manipulated, or the system defective.
“No matter who wins or loses, we need everyone in the party to ensure that the agenda of the Madani government can be carried out well until the end of the term,” he told a press conference here today.
The findings of the audit were discussed at a central leadership council meeting last night, which was also attended by PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli.
Rafizi is reported to have taken leave as the economy minister for a few days amid rumours he had resigned from his government post.
Asked about Rafizi, Fahmi said he looked fine and that he was there to gather feedback from the auditors.
“He left after the meeting,” he said.
A slew of prominent incumbent divisional leaders were knocked out last month as members elected lesser-known figures in the divisional polls, leading to complaints of possible irregularities.
Besides Nik Nazmi and Saraswathy, PKR Youth chief Adam Adli, his predecessor Akmal Nasir, as well as several MPs and assemblymen also lost.
Fresh elections were held for four divisions last week, with deputy information chief Chua Wei Kiat and former Kapar MP G Manivannan overturning their losses in the initial polls to be elected the heads of the Selayang and Jempol divisions, respectively.
Earlier today, PKR secretary-general Fuziah Salleh confirmed the results of the divisional elections, which can be accessed on the party’s website. - FMT
