People Fed Up Over Unresolved Issues Says Syed Saddiq
Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman said the unity government should be fair to states which are governed by the opposition by ensuring funds are allocated directly to the state government.PETALING JAYA: Malaysians cannot be blamed for thinking that the country’s politics has become stale as the government has not fulfilled numerous promises, says Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.
The Muda president claimed that several issues such as the cost of living, food security, state allocations, and food security remain unresolved.
“If we listen to why some Malaysians are fed up, why they feel that politics has become stale and outdated in the country, it is because what was promised before the general election (GE15) is very different from what has been implemented,” he told FMT.

“For example, on the issue of food security, instead of reducing our dependency on imported food, we have increased it from RM55 billion to RM70 billion.”
The Muar MP also called for the unity government to be fair to states which are governed by Perikatan Nasional (PN) and not make the same mistakes of previous administrations.
He said allocations should rightfully be given directly to the state government.
“When we were in the opposition, we criticised and got angry at the government of the day. We said it was unfair to persecute people based on their political affiliations,” he added.
“But now that we are in the government, we are doing the same things.”
