Pas Should State Its Stand On Beng Hock S Case First
YOURSAY | ‘Politicians merely taking advantage of his death.’
PN: DAP ministers should speak up on Beng Hock NFA even if they won't quit
PW Cheng: To shore up my contention that all politicians cannot be trusted, you can see how Perikatan Nasional is taking advantage of Teoh Beng Hock’s case.
They are subtly making themselves look good by encouraging DAP to make noise on the no further action granted in Teoh’s case.
Of course, we know what is in their mind and hearts.
Coward: Before we talk about what DAP should and should not do, I want to know PAS' stand on the issue.
This is not an issue for political capital, it's about justice and responsibilities. If PAS believe and wants the latter, then speak up.
Otherwise, even if it believes that others are doing that (keeping silence), it should hold its tongue. If not, that will be like pot calling the kettle black.
Apanama is back: Remember, all these cases were used as political tools when one was an opposition member. Once they come to power, all these cases will be thrown under the bus.
This vicious cycle will repeat under different administrations and you can't see a light at the end of the tunnel. DAP has used it, now PAS is using the same case.
They are all the same. The family will not get justice under any administration.
Regardless of who is running the country, the system is rotten to its core when ordinary citizens are treated as nothing.
RedFalcon7124: Well, DAP, your response will be validated in the upcoming election next year. Whether you remain a force to be reckoned with or merely a paper tiger will be known in due course.
However, PN will remain a failed coalition marred in corruption and racial politics without any concrete policy to offer.
Iceman: All of a sudden, PAS MPs are getting cosy with Teoh's case, even when PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and his deputy Tuan Ibrahim Man once used his death as an example of “divine retribution”?
Or are they blind, seeing how Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh and lawyer Sangeet Kaur, both from DAP, have been questioning the NFA case since day one?
ADSShe didn’t just fit in—she engineered her way to the topThe Star OnlineChefoo: Are these goons talking for Teoh's justice or just to shame DAP? Why is there love for Teoh case all of a sudden now?
Where were you guys ever since the case happened? And why can’t you guys talk about justice now?
It doesn’t need to be DAP to champion this issue now. This is just spooking the hornet’s nest with bad intentions.
KK Voter: Can PN do two things at the same time - attack DAP while also demanding justice for Teoh? Does PN not think that Teoh's family deserves answers, and that he deserves justice?
If you only want to attack DAP and have no intention of seeking justice for Teoh, then you are no better than DAP - using the issue for political purposes instead of genuinely seeking justice. - Mkini
