Pandikar Rubbishes Rumours He And Salleh Keruak Joining Pkr
Former Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin says neither he nor former federal minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak are joining PKR.
Pandikar said PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has merely been invited to be the guest of honour at the Malaysia Day gathering being organised by the United Sabah Bajau Organisation (USBO) in Kota Belud on Sept 17, the day after Malaysia Day.
“I am not joining. Salleh is also not joining.
“It is not a political event. We have invited him for the USBO Malaysia Day gathering,” he said when contacted.

The veteran Sabah politician said that they invited Anwar because he is a national leader and they wanted him to share his thoughts on the country.
He said as president of USBO he was organising the event, while USBO adviser Salleh invited Anwar to come.
Speculation has been rife that Salleh, Pandikar and former state minister Datuk Amir Kahar Tun Mustapha were planning to join PKR, which is apparently trying to strengthen its Muslim bumiputra base in Sabah on the back of the entry of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, whose chairman is Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Salleh and Pandikar, who left during the Sabah Umno exodus last December, were not taken in by Bersatu.
But Pandikar was seen campaigning for the Bersatu Sabah candidate during the Sandakan by-election in May this year.
Salleh has kept a low political profile and could not be contacted.
