Office Day For Pm Anwar S Grandkids Delights And Divides Netizens

PERHAPS children should just be allowed to be children. When you live life under the massive shadows of your powerful parents or grandparents, people tend to scrutinise your every action under the microscope.
And that was exactly what happened when PMX Anwar Ibrahim brought his grandchildren to the office.
In a post on X which has since gone viral, Anwar said his grandchildren grumbled, asking why he was never at home.
“They don’t know the job for the country is not easy. That’s why I brought them to the office to watch me work,” he said.
The comment section has since been populated by light remarks from netizens as they overanalyzed the children. @HajraMakhatar said these were Anwar’s most important guests.
Another netizen added that these kids had the privilege to say, “My grandfather is the prime minister.”
Also, @balorisme cheekily remarked that it was cruel for him to allow his grandchildren to support Arsenal. Likely, the remark came from observing the kid in the red jersey.

The bottom right photo in the post was equally thought-provoking.

@ajipkasa joked said the children were advising PMX to give less working days for government servants.
@bumilangit added that the last photo felt like the grandchildren were pushing him for more Raya money next year.
“Prime Minister Question Time (PMQ), version cucu,” said @mindfulhue, suggesting that the kids were stepping in as reporters with tough questions.
Then there was @davveenspeaks who pointed out that PMX has been humanising the role and office of the Prime Minister, making it feel a little less like an ivory tower.
But being a high-profile individual, his family is bound to have haters.
“When you were in jail, did your grandchildren ever ask why their grandfather was missing during Raya?” asked a hard-hitting @MuzalliSam.

Also, netizen @RadnMJ wondered why such a trivial matter needs to be mentioned.
To this @fauziazizan replied, “This is his profile. It is up to him. If it is your dad’s profile and he put the update there then it is alright if you bark.”
On our part, we think it is great that the future leaders of Malaysia have a glimpse of the seat of power. Family tour of the highest offices across the world is normal and it is not a crime.
Since the strategic decisions of the prime minister needs to take into account the younger generation, it is great that he is listening to the children. — Focus Malaysia
