Nurul Izzah Must Have Great Capabilities Peja Quips

An opposition leader has taken a jibe at Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his daughter over her appointment as senior economics and finance adviser to the premier by sarcastically calling on the rakyat to give Nurul Izzah a chance "to solve all their problems".
Bersatu deputy president Ahmad Faizal Azumu quipped that the former Permatang Pauh MP must have "extremely great capabilities” for Anwar to have appointed her to the role.
"(With this appointment) everything that the rakyat wants would be addressed.
"Because it would be impossible for a prime minister to appoint his own daughter if she did not possess extremely great capabilities.
"Since he has appointed her, we should give her a chance to advise the prime minister and finance minister, so that all our problems will be solved," he told a press conference during a Perikatan Nasional event in Tambun, Perak, today.
The former sports and youth minister also cited Nurul Izzah's experience as a member of the Parliament's Public Accounts Committee and her two university degrees as the reason the public can believe in the PKR leader.
"Of course, I think we can put our trust in her to settle all issues about our economy, finance, and cost of living troubling the rakyat today," Faizal (above) was quoted as saying by Bernama.

Nurul Izzah AnwarFaizal also previously had a stint as a special adviser to then prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin when Bersatu was leading the federal government.
He was appointed on Aug 5, 2021, to advise Muhyiddin on community networking, community communications, and socio-economic development.
However, the job which came with the status of a minister, only lasted for 11 days as Muhyiddin later resigned from the top executive office on Aug 16, 2021.
Anwar had been severely criticised for Nurul Izzah’s appointment after it was revealed last week.
Among the critics was opposition chief Hamzah Zainudin who urged Anwar to retract the appointment, claiming it goes against the principles of good governance, integrity and anti-corruption.
PKR’s Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Karim had also described the appointment as "morally wrong". - Mkini
