No Point To Get Huge Majority If No Integrity Hadi
There is no point for a government to command a huge majority when it has no integrity, said PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.
"What is the benefit if one enjoys majority support but has no integrity and if one lied to the people to secure majority support?
"Lies are enough of a sign that one has lost their integrity, which will definitely lead to other bad behaviours, including becoming a kleptocrat," he said.
The Marang MP took to Facebook in a post titled, "The government's offer to save the people: A benevolent government brings blessings."
He did not go into specifics in his post and named no persons or parties.
On March 31, PAS and Bersatu pledged to strengthen their cooperation amidst attempts by Umno to rattle the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.
Umno had decided in its recently concluded annual general assembly to quit the PN government. When that should happen was left to party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to decide. This decision soured PAS' relationship with Umno.
Currently, PAS has suspended its seat negotiation for the 15th general election with Umno. The Islamic party is only engaging in seat allocation talks with Bersatu.
In his post, Hadi further said there have been countries that were destroyed due to there being cruelty, a collapse of morals, and wrongdoings.
"This happened due to a lack of faith and righteousness, where one's wisdom and intelligence are used to trick the people. In the end, the people who supported him will become victims themselves." - Mkini
