No Place For Noh Omar In Bn S Final Lineup

There had been speculation over Selangor BN chief Noh Omar’s fate after the candidate for the Tanjong Karang seat was not named on Tuesday.PETALING JAYA: Selangor Barisan Nasional chief Noh Omar, who is also a federal minister, has been dropped from the coalition’s final lineup for the general election (GE15).
On Tuesday, BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi named most of the coalition’s candidates except for Tanjong Karang, Bandar Tun Razak, Tumpat, Kuala Nerus, Jempol and Kuala Pilah, raising questions about Noh’s fate.
In a statement, BN secretary-general Zambry Abd Kadir said the Tanjong Karang seat would be contested by Habibah Mohd Yusof.
Zambry also confirmed the candidacy of Khairuddin Aman Razali and Che Abdullah Mat Nawi for the Kuala Nerus and Tumpat seats, respectively. Both Khairuddin and Che Abdullah will defend the seats they won on a PAS ticket in GE14.

He also revealed BN’s candidates for four remaining seats in KL and Negeri Sembilan.
The Batu seat will be contested by MIC’s A Kohilan Pillay while MCA’s Chew Yin Keen will contest the Bandar Tun Razak seat. Umno’s Shamsulkahar Mohd Deli and Adnan Abu Hassan will contest the Jempol and Kuala Pilah seats, respectively.
“Of these seven seats, Tumpat and Kuala Nerus will feature two direct-BN candidates in the interest of openness and unity.
“This means BN will contest a total of 178 parliamentary seats.”
Zambry’s confirmation of Kohilan’s candidacy also brings an end to speculation over the seat. On Wednesday, MCA claimed it would contest the Batu seat, only for MIC to insist hours later that they were fielding a candidate for the seat. - FMT
