My Focus Is Helping Muda In Johor Polls Says Nurainie

“I know there are many who disagree with this, not to mention the abuse and criticism I’ve received.
“I accept all this with an open heart. My focus is to help and assist Muda in the upcoming Johor state elections,” she wrote on Instagram today.
Yesterday, Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman announced Nurainie as one of its central executive committee members.
This led to numerous people criticising her appointment on social media, referring to Nurainie as a “frog” for jumping parties.
Some said Muda had previously said they were against “frog politics”. As such, they said the party members were being hypocrites without principles.
Despite the backlash she received, Nurainie said she would continue with her work in helping those facing citizenship problems, those who were stateless, and uphold the rights of women, children and migrants.
“These are some of the key issues I have been fighting for all this while.
“This is also in line with Muda’s principles and ideology in promoting politics of service and virtues,” she said.
Nurainie, a lawyer, quit PKR in May 2020, saying that she had lost confidence in the party’s direction and leadership.
She then joined Pemuda Negara as the head of the women’s wing. This was an organisation reportedly set up in support of former PKR deputy president Azmin Ali. - FMT
