Muhyiddin Macc Yet To Question Me Over Rm1 3 Million Claim
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said today the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has not questioned him over the RM1.3 million he allegedly received from Ultra Kirana Sdn Bhd (UKSB) in 2018. - NSTP/ASWADI ALIASKUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said today the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has not questioned him over the RM1.3 million he allegedly received from Ultra Kirana Sdn Bhd (UKSB) in 2018.
Muhyiddin, who is Perikatan Nasional chairman, reiterated that he was prepared to be investigated by the authorities, including police, following the disclosure in court.
During the corruption trial of Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in the Shah Alam High Court on June 17, a witness testified that Muhyiddin had received RM1.3 million from an administrative manager of UKSB,
Muhyiddin said he was leaving it to the authorities to investigate the matter.
"I have also issued a statement. There are already people making police reports. Let the police investigate.
"If the MACC wants to call me too, I am not afraid because I am telling the truth.
"So far, there have been none, neither MACC nor the police.
"I am telling the truth. I never lie. Everyone has an opinion. I am not corrupt. I did not accept anything. But if other people say so, I don't know," he said after the #RuangBelia programme with Muhyiddin organised by Institut Masa Depan Malaysia here today.
MACC had said it would investigate those who were named in the trial as being recipients of money from UKSB.
MACC also said it had received several complaints against the individuals who were listed in a ledger that was submitted as evidence in the trial.
Muhyiddin also touched on comments by former Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who had disputed Muhyiddin's claim that his cancer treatment had clashed with the dates when he was supposed to have received the money.
Muhyiddin advised the Pekan member of parliament to focus on his own matters.
"He is not the judge. It's better if he manages his own problems. I have issued a statement on this," he said.
Meanwhile, Muhyiddin, who is Pagoh MP and former Johor Menteri Besar, also commented on Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar's statement that the state needed a larger allocation from the Federal Government.
"It is the sultan's right to say anything. I cannot comment, but I am confident in saying that if Johor is not treated fairly, then other states can comment (on their own situation) as well.
"When the federal government makes a decision, there must be certain considerations because there are various requests by state governments," he said. - NST
