Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing Into Pothole In Kota Kinabalu
The man’s motorcycle skidded for about 6m after it hit the pothole, police said.
KOTA KINABALU: A man in his 30s was killed when his motorcycle skidded after hitting a pothole near the Lido Flyover at Jalan Lintas here this morning.
Kota Kinabalu police chief Kasim Muda said the man was travelling from the City Mall towards the airport at about 11.15am when he was believed to have hit a pothole, causing his motorcycle to skid for about 6m.
“The victim sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 for treatment. He was pronounced dead at 1.35pm while receiving medical attention,” he said in a statement.

Two men were killed when the car they were travelling in crashed into a tanker lorry at Km27.2 of the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway at 6.20am today.
Port Dickson deputy police chief Mustafah Hussin said the car heading towards Port Dickson, driven by a 21-year-old man, crashed into the right side of the lorry travelling in the same direction.
He said the collision caused the car, which was carrying three men, to spin out of control and crash into the left side of the road.
“The driver and a 20-year-old passenger in the rear seat suffered severe head injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene, while a 26-year-old passenger in the front seat sustained minor injuries,” he said in a statement.
The lorry driver, 57, was unharmed. - FMT
