Many Lodged Police Reports Against Long Tiger After His Arrest Ayob Khan
Many have lodged police reports against “Long Tiger” after the Rohingya man was arrested and remanded until tomorrow in connection with an extortion case
Johor police chief Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said several reports were made by people in other states including Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, against the man for offences he had allegedly committed
“There are several other police reports lodged in other states against Long Tiger
“Since he was arrested and remanded, many people have come forward to lodge reports against him, probably before this many people were afraid to report, fearing a backlash from Long Tiger,” he told reporters today
Yesterday, Ayob Khan in a statement confirmed Long Tiger whose real name is Abdul Hamim Ab Hamid, 34, was re-arrested by police on Saturday, after being released following the expiration of his remand order over a case in which he allegedly made a slanderous statement against a police officer from the Tangkak district police headquarters
Ayob Khan said police were in the process of completing the investigation papers on him
On a police corporal from the Muar police headquarters who was being investigated for allegedly taking pictures and disseminating the video of Long Tiger's arrest, Ayob Khan said investigation papers were also being completed
Ayob Khan, in the meantime, said he had submitted an investigation paper to the deputy public prosecutor (DPP) today on the case of the ring bearing the Johor sultan’s personal emblem ordered by fashion personality and actor Wak Doyok
“The investigation on the case was carried out under Section 3 (1) (c) of the Johor Emblems, Titles and Awards (Prevention of Improper Use) Enactment 2017. We are waiting for the DPP’s decision whether to charge (Wak Doyok) or not,” he said
On April 30, Ayob Khan confirmed that Wak Doyok whose real name is Mohd Azwan Md Nor, 41, was present at the Iskandar Puteri IPD to have his statement recorded following a police report lodged by the Johor state government, on April 28
Wak Doyok was reported to have apologised to the Johor royal family after being reprimanded by Tunku Temenggong of Johor, Tunku Idris Iskandar Sultan Ibrahim for having ordered a ring using the Johor sultan's personal emblem
