Look At Yourself Before Attacking Hadi Pas Youth Tells Zahid

PAS Youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has struck back against Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi regarding "alms" to voters in the 15th general election.
The Pasir Mas MP asked Zahid to look at himself first before attacking PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang regarding money given to voters.
"Previously the president (Zahid) attacked our president (Hadi) on the issue of corruption.
"I recommend that Datuk Seri buy a mirror, or use the mirror that is in the official residence," Fadhli (above) said in a post on Facebook today.
Although Zahid's name was not mentioned, the writing was believed to refer to the statement of the deputy prime minister who criticised Hadi's remark that giving money to voters was charity.
Abdul Hadi Awang and Ahmad Zahid HamidiZahid said, as scholars, they need to have integrity and cannot change fatwa at will.
"If he does it, then it’s charity, but if others do it, it’s corruption," he said.
The Umno president also branded Hadi as a "political ulama" and urged the latter not to change Islamic rules as he pleases.
Yesterday, Hadi said the giving of cash during the election campaign did not violate the rules as it was only almsgiving to voters by members of the public.
The Malaysian Insight quoted the Marang MP as saying that existing rules only prohibit contesting candidates and their representatives from giving cash to voters.
"According to the election law, a candidate or a candidate's representative cannot give, it is up to the public to give alms," he told reporters after attending the Gelombang Rakyat Celebration with Perikatan Nasional (PN) in Negeri Sembilan yesterday.
Hadi also described the petition filed by BN to challenge the election results for the three Terengganu parliamentary seats as a "war of nerves". - Mkini
