Lewd Viral Video Wahab To See Chegubard In Court

Community Communications Department (J-Kom) officer Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani is set to haul Bersatu information committee member Badrul Hisham Shaharin (Chegubard) to court over alleged defamation.
However, Wahab is still perusing J-Kom training and education director Hakim Ramlee's response to the former's letter of demand.
Wahab’s counsel Faizal Rahman today said that Chegubard failed to comply with the 48-hour ultimatum for an apology and payment of damages over the spread of a video allegedly containing lewd conversations.
The video allegedly showed individuals who looked like former J-Kom director-general Mohammad Agus Yusoff and Wahab (above).
Badrul Hisham ShaharinFaizal told Malaysiakini that Wahab has decided to proceed with the defamation suit due to Chegubard allegedly not replying to the J-Kom officer’s letter of demand.
The lawyer said that Wahab is still mulling his next move as he is still going through Hakim’s response to the letter of demand.
Faizal added that if a lawsuit would later be filed against Hakim as well, then they would be filing separate defamation actions against Hakim and Chegubard.
Malaysiakini is attempting to reach out to Hakim and Chegubard over the matter.
Mohammad Agus YusoffPreviously, Harian Metro reported that Wahab issued letters of demand over the dissemination of the video.
Previously, a video of a conversation with a man who looked like Agus went viral on Nov 17.
Because of that, Agus resigned as J-Kom director-general and claimed the video of the conversation involving him was fake and edited by irresponsible parties.
