Let S Play The Dirty Game
WHY the anger and fury over the letter to the King purportedly signed by Zahid Hamid and Najib Razak? Why must some Umno members so gullible to the game created by outsiders with skunk intention of creating a rift in the party and between them and the leadership?
I don't call it stupidity but lack of political understanding, notably during the internal confrontation between Umno and Bersatu. In some cases, a few Umno leaders too are being carried away by foolish sentiments and simply joined the 'bandwagon of fools'.
Umno never harbor any intention to back Anwar Ibrahim as the next prime minister. That is very loud and clear. His deal with DAP will reinstate Pakatan Harapan back in Putrajaya, and the whole nation will be under detrimental administration again.
But... hey... lemme give you guys this probable picture. What if Zahid and Bossku really prepared the letter? Like Tengku Razaleigh said, even the top leaders can be expelled from the party if they are in cahoot with the Opposition Leader who were cheated a few times by Dr Mahathir to be the No.1.
Ku Li could be right and wrong at the same time. Right for defending the party's principle and wrong for neglecting the micro-political manoeuvring hidden in the letter. And so are party leaders and members who thought Umno today is similar to the days when it led the government for over 60 years.
Please laaa... Umno was dethroned over dirty tactics by Mahathir, Anwar, Guan Eng & Gang years before the 14th general election. Their slanders and lies spanned domestically and globally. To some extent, Umno and Barisan Nasional government was pictured as the world's most corrupt and racist. Do you remember?
They came to power via these filthy encounters.
Then came Muhyiddin Yassin as the 8th prime minister. His Bersatu broke rank with Dr M sympathizers, DAP and Amanah to form Perikatan Nasional government with Umno, Pas and BN. Remember how it happened?
Was it clean? Yes, for getting the consent of the Yang Dipertuan Agong. The King accepted it because he didn't want to see anymore political tussle in the country when the Covid-19 pandemic needed much attention. The rakyat's predicaments must be looked into and the nation must be properly-managed again. Any political fiasco will doom us!
However, PN government was also installed in a dirty manner. The tug-of-war of a shopping melee took place which gave Muhyiddin one or two seats majority. And that is rickety. Muhyiddin was fast to grab the opportunity when the small opening prevailed. Umno, as the single largest party in PN, provided him the support until today.
Now, where is Umno positioned after that when the Cabinet lineup was announcement? Much to the surprise, the party was only given portfolios that kept it away with the people, the voters. In other words, Bersatu-led Muhyiddin and sec-gen Hamzah Zainuddin have planned for Umno's demise in the next general election.
PH has played dirty, and so was PN and Bersatu. Umno was pinned down. When Zahid is doing all he can to put where Umno used to be, bickering in the party made him look dirty.
DIRTY? What do you mean by dirty when others are filthier? Those MPs who deserted Umno after the 14th general election are all Mr Cleans? Blast you! Zahid and some top leaders are faced with up the hill task to make Umno stronger again. Its dignity lies with solid solidarity among members but some of them were blinded with games played by Bersatu.
Zahid became the center of word trash and bad disposition, including by members. They overlooked the simple element that Zahid is the right man to place Umno on the right track again and recapture what was lost after May 9, 2018.
So, why can't we play a bit dirty here? Not wrong to support Anwar if it is meant to glorify Umno again? Play by PH and PN's game. If they are dirty and filthy, we do the modest way in order to catapult Umno again.
'Unfortunately, Zahid and Najib did not prepare the letter'.
In today's politics, show me anything that is clean. Umno was never dirty, Zahid too was never. As Umno president who was struck with the bad omen of not becoming a prime minister, everybody should rally behind him and understand the whole situation.
It's 'now or never' for Umno. Sometimes we need to be a little bit crooked to straighten things. You have to dirty yourself to clean the floor, right? Let us play dirty too!
