Let S Go For Unity Govt And Give Full Support To Dr Mahathir Says Wan Saiful

PETALING JAYA: There will be a unity government if Tun Dr Mahahir Mohamad gets full support in Parliament, says Wan Saiful Wan Jan
The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) supreme council member said with political stability, the interim Prime Minister can appoint anybody to be in his Cabinet
He said that a unity government would enable Dr Mahathir to form a solid Cabinet which will lead to political stability
"The political upheaval in the country must be solved as soon as possible to soothe the nation's worries. This week, Yang di-Pertuan Agong would be interviewing the MPs and I hope all of them would support Dr Mahathir as they have said before
"When he is reappointed as Prime Minister, Dr Mahathir can then form a new Cabinet
"This is not the time to blame anyone and not the time for personal interest. We must put aside all differences of opinions so that we can solve our problems. Put the nation's interest first," said Wan Saiful
The National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN) chairman said a government, which has full support, without an opposition will make for a stable nation
The country was thrown into a political upheaval since Sunday (Feb 23) with pow wow meetings, political party defections from the ruling coalition and the defection of MPs who are ministers from ruling parties
This climaxed when Dr Mahathir announced his shock resignation from all government and party posts on Monday (Feb 24)
However, he was reappointed interim Prime Minister and has yet to form his interim Cabinet
The King is currently interviewing the MPs from all parties before appointing a new Prime Minister. - Star
