Ktmb Ets Tickets For Aidilfitri Only 20 Left

ALOR GAJAH: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has announced that the tickets for the Electric Train Service (ETS) sold since March 3 are now only 20% remaining out of more than 100,000 tickets offered for the Aidilfitri celebration.
KTMB Group Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Mohd Rani Hisham Samsudin, said that this number includes 12,600 additional tickets for the travel period from March 28 to April 6, covering four additional services, which are from Gemas to Butterworth and from Gemas to Padang Besar.
"In the past, the peak time for train usage was before and after the festive period, but now, the trend has changed as passengers who do not want to face traffic congestion will use this service during the holidays, also for the purpose of visiting family and relatives.
"Therefore, during this period of approximately 10 days, we provide ETS tickets to facilitate the movement of passengers. Meanwhile, for the southern route, KTM Intercity tickets, covering the journey from Gemas to JB Sentral and Kulai Sentral, have already sold up to 60%," he said.
He was speaking to the media after attending the Ramadan "Sajian Kasih" Program: Distribution of Bubur Lambuk to KTMB passengers in conjunction with KTMB’s 140th anniversary at the Pulau Sebang Station here on Friday (March 14).
Mohd Rani Hisham mentioned that during the operation period, additional ETS trains will offer 1,260 seats per day, including business class seating options, with a total of 12,600 seats provided to meet passenger demand.
Earlier, 1,400 portions of bubur lambuk were distributed to KTMB passengers as a token of appreciation for their loyal patrons, as well as an initiative to strengthen cooperation with strategic partners and the local community in line with KTMB’s 140th anniversary celebration. - Bernama
