Kl Daycare Evacuated After Downpour Triggers Landslide
A daycare centre in Kuala Lumpur was forced to evacuate after it was inundated by flash floods that struck the Klang Valley this evening.
The Fire and Rescue Department helped safely evacuate 40 students and teachers following a landslide that occurred in the centre’s compound.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has also reported three other areas affected by landslides.
They are 1, 1/127 Taman Gembira in Kuchai Lama; Seksyen 6 in Wangsa Maju; and Jalan Hang Tuah 4 in Salak Selatan.
However, they said no injuries were reported.

They later updated that DBKL officers had come to Pudu to help them clear the pathway.

Internet users took to social media to share updates on places that were affected by the floods, alerting others to avoid them.
Some videos even depicted people climbing their submerged cars to avoid getting caught by the water current.
Among the areas affected were Kuala Lumpur city centre, Pudu, Bukit Jalil, Kuchai Lama, and Sungai Buloh.
Alerts were issued about the closures of the Kuchai tunnel and Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel (Smart) due to the floods. - Mkini
