Kit Siang Lied When He Told The Chinese That Malaysia Is A Secular State

In the 1999, 2004, 2008, 2013 and 2018 general elections, Lim Kit Siang told the Chinese voters that if Umno is kicked out then Islam will no longer be the religion of the Federation and Malaysia will be turned into a secular country. That has now been proven false so Kit Siang should apologise to all the Chinese voters for lying to them. (The Star) – Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak should apologise to Cameron Highlands voters for engaging in money politics in the 14th General Election if he decides to campaign on behalf of Barisan Nasional, says Lim Kit Siang.
The DAP stalwart’s remarks came despite no confirmation on whether Najib would campaign alongside Barisan in the Cameron Highlands by-election set for Jan 26.
“Najib should not be playing coy, for I have information that Najib’s campaiging for Barisan together with the Pahang Mentri Besar had already been fixed for Jan 18 and 19.
“The first thing that Najib should do when he campaigns for Barisan in the by-election on Friday and Saturday is to apologise to the voters of Cameron Highlands,” he said in a statement on Sunday (Jan 13).
“Najib’s appearance at the Barisan by-election campaign would be the perfect opportunity for Pahang Mentri Besar (Datuk Seri) Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail to explain why he failed to appear before the Election Court to testify and rebut earlier testimony of Barisan money politics and corrupt election practices by orang asli witnesses although the Election Court hearing was postponed three times for Wan Rosdy to do so,” Lim added.
